Jan 18, 2010 -- Letter From The President
Happy New Year to all!
Hoping the holidays were good to you.
You've all had a few months off from racing. You're probably now looking at the mess in your garage you called a kart.
Your batteries are recharged for the upcoming season, and you're deciding what to do to 'the beast.'
Well, you better get to it!
First race of the North West Gold Cup Season is Saturday April 10th.
This will be a new event at a new facility, Oregon Raceway Park http://www.oregonraceway.com/
Also a new presenting club, North West Road Racers. These are the folks mostly commonly know as Team 80.
Russ Dyer and his group will be putting on their first event at the new track. Looks pretty exciting!
PSRRA events for 2010 are:
Bremerton, Friday April 30th, practice with races Saturday May 1st
We will be holding our traditional Buddy Drive after the racing on Saturday.
Bring a buddy and get them hooked into our sport!
Pacific Raceway, Saturday July 16th
We're working up something special for Race Group 6, formally the E.T. Racer time slot.
If you have ideas let me know.
There's another project we're trying to work on for this weekend,
but it's way to early to leak any news.
If it happens, it'll be BIG!
Bremerton Friday September 10th, practice with races on Saturday the 11th
More info to come as this date gets closer
You can see the rest of the schedule on our site.
Also note that we have one day race schedule at all events.
Fees. Always a touchy subject.
It gets down to, PSRRA has to pay the bills. If we don't, we're gone.
After much discussion, some heated, some rather sane, here are the 2010 race fees:
Road Race Club Membership $100
Road Race Entry (all you can race) $225
Road Race Novice first entry $ 60
Road Race Novice all u can race $125
Road Race Entry Non Club member $300
Road Race Junior 1 first entry $ 60
Road Race Junior 1 all u can race $125
Road Race Pit Pass $ 12
IKF Membership per IKF rules
PKA will be using the same fee structure.
I'm always open for new ideas and will listen to your opinions.
You can reach me at president@psrra.com
I want to thank all those that have supported PSRRA in the past.
I look forward to seeing you at the races this year.
Paul Clifton
PSRRA President
(How'd that happen?)
